Lucas Pomaranski Is Awarded 2015 Belmont County Exceptional Student

Lucas Pomaranski, a second year student in the Small Engine Technology program at the Belmont Career Center, was one of eleven students to receive the 2015 Belmont County Exceptional Student Award.

Lucas is an "A" student, who has been awarded "Student of the Month" honors and numerous perfect attendance awards. Teachers who have known him describe Lucas as the most polite, helpful and friendly student they have ever met. Lucas never complains and is happy to help when asked by his teachers to perform special duties. He is equally happy to work with fellow students in completing group assignments.

Lucas is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and recently earned the prestigious rank of "Eagle Scout." To earn this honor, Lucas sponsored a 5K Walk - Lucas's Laps for Kids - that raised money to assemble "goodie bags" for children hospitalized at The Shriner's Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Lucas is the son of Carl and Barb Pomaranski.
