Carpentry project - "Your Home Inside & Out"

Carpentry students at the Belmont Career Center are already putting their skills to work, as homebuilding is taking place as the students hone their expertise.
It's only been a few weeks since the school year began, but students in the Carpentry classes have already framed a new moduler home at the Career Center in St. Clairsville. The home will be completed, disassembled, transported and then reassembled on site as a new family home for Habitat for Humanity.
Carpentry students get hands-on training through their course work, and the courses provide them with skills necessary to enter the home building trades. Junior students receive training in all aspects of equipment usage and safety. Seniors demonstrate the lessons learned by constructing a new house.
