Career Center Students Awarded Nearly $32,000 In Scholarships

Several students from the Belmont and Harrison Career Centers received scholarships during the annual Senior Certificate Ceremony and Awards Presentations held recently.

Muller Scholarships were awarded to 20 students. The Muller Scholarship was established several years ago in memory of Bernard W. and Carl F. Muller, residents of Belmont County.

Students receiving $1000 Muller Scholarships were Jessica Anderson, Bridgeport; Emma Faulkner, Union Local; Dalton Groh, Barnesville; Justin Hartley, Harrison Central; Angella Hess, Shadyside; Hayley Holskey, Barnesville; Brian Horne, Union Local; Cody Karkowski, Shadyside; Hunter Lough, Shadyside; Rami McCort, Barnesville; Kassi Roby, Union Local; Cody Russell, Martins Ferry; Shawna Warner, Martins Ferry; and Amanda Weber, Bellaire.

Jennifer Bonnette, Martins Ferry and Kelsey Perdue, Barnesville, received $1500 scholarships. Zakk Kelley, Trenton McDonald and Matthew Rose, all Harrison Central, received $3000 scholarships.

Logan Schramm, Shadyside, received a $5000 scholarship.

Perdue also received a $250 scholarship from the St. Clairsville VFW. Macy Wise was awarded the C. Robert Grimes Scholarship in the amount of $500. The scholarship is in memory of former BHVSD superintendent Robert Grimes.
