Career Center Students Awarded $30,000 In Scholarships

Several students from the Belmont and Harrison Career Centers received scholarships during the annual Senior Certificate Ceremony and Awards Presentation held recently.

Muller Scholarships were awarded to 15 students. The Muller Scholarship was established several years ago in memory of Bernard W. and Carl F. Muller, residents of Belmont county.

Students receiving $1000 Muller Scholarships were Anna Billman, Union Local; Kayla Bunfill, Barnesville; Caitlin Donahue, Harrison Central; Chase Fine, Bridgeport; Gina Moore, Harrison Central; Hannah Shepherd, Union Local; Deanna Spoon, Bridgeport; Shylo Tanner, Harrison Central; and Jayden Turner, Bellaire.

Quson James, Bellaire, received a $1500 scholarship. Students receiving $2000 scholarships were Carolina Lancaster, Union Local; Natalie McLeod, St. Clairsville; and Christie Shoemaker, Harrison Central.

Students receiving $5000 scholarships were Josh Kahl, Shadyside, and Alexis Marovich, Barnesville. Marovich also was awarded the C. Robert Grimes Scholarship in the amount of $500. The scholarship is in memory of former BHVSD superintendent Robert Grimes.
