Career Center Builds Dog Houses For Animal Shelter

The Connections program at the Belmont Career Center is completing a community service project for the Belmont County Animal Shelter. The class will be building 25 dog houses with material provided by the Belmont County Commissioners

"Back in 2014, the students built us 25 really nice dog houses that are in operation at the animal shelter," stated Belmont County Commissioner Mark Thomas. "We noticed that some of the other dog houses that had been there a while needed to be replaced, and/or we needed larger ones, so we approached Mr. Reese, the instructor, and he was gracious enough to make this a project for his classes," he added.

Pictured are students who helped build the dog houses.
