The Belmont Career Center chapter of the Belmont County Schools Staying Clean Club, conducted a canned food drive to benefit the Bellaire Salvation Army.
Students collected canned goods and non-perishable items from Nov. 1-17. A competition was held between all the career-technical programs to see who could donate the most items.
A total of 7,111 items was collected and delivered to the Salvation Army. The Welding program won the competition with 2,900 items donated. The Hair Design program was second with 2,200 items collected. The Welding program received a pizza party for their effort. Advisors are Lillith Luyster and Michele Grant.
