BCC Seniors Receive Certificates May 17

Belmont Career Center students were honored during the 46th annual Senior Certificate Ceremony and Awards Presentation on Wednesday, May 17, at the Health & Physical Education Center at Ohio University Eastern.

Scholarship, attendance, outstanding career-technical student awards and career-technical certificates were presented to 108 seniors.

Top honor students were Brennon Grimm, son of Jeff and Tonya Grimm of St. Clairsville, and Alexis Marovich, daughter of Andrew Marovich and Amista and John Wilson of Barnesville.

Grimm completed the Carpentry program and will graduate from St. Clairsville High School. He has been named Student of the Month and has been on the honor roll and principal's list throughout high school. He attended elementary, middle and high school at St. John Central before transferring to St. Clairsville High School and the Belmont Career Center.

He was employed at Ron's Countertops, St. Clairsville, through early job placement and plans to continue as a full-time employee.

Marovich completed the Hair Design program, received her state board license and will graduate from Barnesville High School. She has been named Student of the Month and has been on the honor roll throughout high school. She was inducted into the National Honor Society and completed the State Tested Nursing Assistant program through College Credit Plus at Belmont College.

She is a four-year letter winner for the swim team, marching band auxiliary for two years, participated in Key Club, is a past yearbook editor, served on the Blood Bash Committee, Varsity B and drama club.

She plans to attend Belmont College and continue her education.
